Seed Talk and Share with William Ritter

William Ritter, of Song-to-Seed, is an old-time fiddler, seed-saver, and ballad singer from the mountains of Mitchell County. For almost 20 years he has followed a passion for sharing the regional stories, songs, tunes, and seeds in his care. He is convinced that old ways and old seeds can bridge the growing gulfs and fissures in our communities and lead to real cultural resilience. In this program, William will be talking about seeds and seed-saving, alongside traditional and original songs and tunes. Community members are welcome to bring roots, cuttings, and seeds to share – or even a dish to share (something easily eaten with fingers or a fork).
